Don is a 2006 Hindi action thriller film produced and directed by Farhan Akhtar, and featured Shahrukh Khan in double roles, Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Rampal in the lead role; Boman Irani, Ishaa Koppikar and Om Puri in supporting roles. It is a remake of the 1978 film of the same name. Don was produced under Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment. The film hit theatres on October 20, 2006 and was selected to be screened at the Berlin Film Festival. Upon release, Indian critical reception was mixed while the overseas reception was generally positive. A week after its theatrical run, Box Office India declared the film a hit in India, and a "blockbuster" overseas. Don grossed over INR 104 crores worldwide.
